Saturday night L train sightings
Only getting around to posting this now as I’ve come down with some sort of crippling cold, but it was too good not to share. As most New Yorkers know, taking the L in Brooklyn always provides interesting people watching, but throw in a weekend night and good weather and the crazies really come out. Just in my car I spotted a husky raver type who was sporting a tank with holes cut out over...
Breaking up with a blog - so over Fashionista.com
After months of dissatisfaction with the increasing levels of “ridiculous for the sake of hits” posts, rampant errors over what constitutes violations of copyright law, and blatant sucking up to designers, I’m done with Fashionista. I got a summer job!!
Normally I leave this tumblr free of most personal details, but to say I’m thrilled is an understatement. Fellow law students will definitely understand - the legal job market is scarily bad. I’ll be working at a boutique firm that helps children with autism and other disabilities. Being able to do interesting, important work and get paid for it? Couldn’t be happier.
One hundred Nazi scallops
Oscar party planning is the best. I’ll be pulling for my pick, Inglourious Basterds, and cooking up lots of delicious shellfish.
