Like it or not, second-skin jeans are back.  I’ve been eyeing Blank NYC denim for a while - they’re supposedly designer jean quality for a fraction of the price.  I came across these lavender ankle jeans ($54 on sale) at one of my favorite Greenpoint boutiques Dalaga.  They’re certainly “take a very deep breath and hope these will actually button” tight, even in a size larger than what I normally wear, but I was hooked nonetheless.  These are not jeans you should wear while eating large meals or will need to remove them with any degree of swiftness.  Unlike this season’s infamous jeggings (jean leggings), they don’t have a lot of stretch.  But hey, fashion isn’t always about comfort, right?  Plus, these will certainly encourage a trip to the gym and/or the salad bar.
